Especially symphonic sounds (as expected by the name) are not that amazing. Some solo instruments indeed acceptable. Very anoying are the strange panorama settings of some patches and the bad reverberation of the GrandPiano, the Glockenspiel patch and the strings ensembles. Entire Loudness is also very unbalanced und sometime unexpected loud! Some samples have obviously total wrong panorama settings. User: tabor My 8mb default bank sounds better than this. User: Anyeos I agree with this people. Sometimes the sound are very loud in some instruments (specially the piano). The strings have a flanger effect that make it some ugly. The attack of some instruments are too long. But the wind samples are good. The distorted guitar samples are good too. And the batery is ok but sometimes too loud. In conjunction this soundfont make some midis have sense in the meaning of agresive expression. I listened some Yngwie malmsteen midi files and sometimes sounds near the real, that is great because for me is hard to get it. The bass, the batery and the distorted guitars do a good work but flanger in strings, loudness piano, loudness FX, and a long attack in some instruments do a bad work. Bye! Better than what came in the old Korg I had 10 years back. Not the EWQL, though.
