ReviewsUser: memilio Huuh... sound like crap. And bad crap. User: dalquiel One of my favorite, only a few samples I don't like (vocals mostly( User: caumann A good replacement for standard GM bank User: MikeGratis For a general purpose soundfont file for the average guy, if you want to load one to "do it all", this is the best I've found so far. I've compared it to all of the Creative E-mu files I had (2, 4 & 8 MB), as well as a couple of 8MB files I had downloaded listed as "Ultimate", and this one really sounded the best for a wide variety of MIDI files I had. I also compared it to an original Roland MT-32 Reference Song File available at http://www.queststudios.com/digital/compare2005/compare2005.html and it came closest to sounding the same, though I'll admit not perfect. What else can I say but give it a try. User: sashaclarkson One man's meat is another's poison. I think this is a pretty good general purpose soundfont - especially for its size - I keep trying bigger ones, like Merlin Vienna, which are better for some voices, but overall not so consistently good. I use it with timidity, supplemented by the EAW sfx patches. I am very grateful to the authors for the time and trouble they have gone to! User: teo8 no bad | ||||
