okay, motoro, I know you're pissed because of your slow server (3.6 Mb in 69 min and 15 sec), but this review could have been a little more positive 1. the samples are taken from blowing students at : http://www.uiowa.edu/%7Emusic/ and to use the word synthetic in this context won't make you many friends 2. you have to write a melody (also called composing) and not simply wallow on the sound of an instrument

I downloaded this for the clarinet. I must say that it is good. I've tried other clarinet sf's on this site and they're all too harsh. This one is very smooth and more professional sounding than the others. The oboe and the flute are ok too.

So far I've liked every single IowaU .sf2 that I've downloaded. Thanks for sharing these. I found the University of Iowa page with the samples on it. Good idea to make a soundfont out of them. I wish more universities would have pages like that, especially since they were made to be used freely.

The website is now : http://theremin.music.uiowa.edu/MIS.html I say the sounds are perfect. A little adjustment on your playback might be necessary, specially if you do use (or are used to) "arcade" sounds. But any Uiowa initial samples are professionaly recorded to an almost zealous point. Just go and listen to it. Better yet, build your own soundfont, see what you can come up with. ...and Thanks to Bjbo! When can we expect the single flute sf2?
