ReviewsUser: humble B0361 and its neighbours B flat and C natural sound much softer than the other pitches. If this were sorted, a very useful classical piano. What make, size, age? User: alfspanners This is a really lovely piano - very warm. The problem B0 sample is actually B1 pitched down, must have been an accident. I use halion and with a bit of jiggery pokery in cubase I created a new sample from A#0 62 - just eq'd a bit brighter. Also the C 75 sample seemed a bit softer too - I replaced it with a slighly brighter version of itself. I agree that these samples need normalized, but on a batch processing program this will take 10mins or so - I used Adobe audition - no sweat. This is a fantastic piano sample and, when I consider that it's free, it just makes it all the better. Thankyou Damon for taking the time and trouble to do this - I've been downloading from this site for a few days now and I reckon this is the best piano I've come across. It's weel worth the small effort of fixing. Best wishes Mark User: paulchevin Reporting back after normalising the samples: Now an excellent piano - very mellow and warm. If I was to make any criticism it would be that it's a bit TOO mellow for some applications - even the highest velocities don't have a lot of attack. In Sonar, which I use, you can compensate by increasing the velocity trim. That said, this is a lovely piano, especially for one that's free! User: jake_johnson This is not a review, but instead a question: what do these pianos' names mean--the F Piano? Does the letter in the name mean anything? Are these all separate pianos, or are they the same set of samples programmed differently? | ||||
