This one brought me to tears...

Good piano sound, but the Yamaha Motif ES one is better. I prefer the one on the session card from my Roland XP50.

I've been searching excellent piano samples for quite a long time, and I must confess both SRX-2 two and three layers have nothing to be ashamed of compared to huge Giga banks. It's blessed with rich, colourful, wide, round sounds. The Giga piano (16,7 Mb) is the only other excellent piano in SF2 format (and hence, of reasonable size compared to .gig files) that I've come across so far. After converting a couple of my own piano improvisations (MIDI) to Wave through various great piano samples, I compared carefully the results, and it turned out that SRX-2 is the only soundfont among my 5 favourite ones! For those interested in a similar "holy Grail" quest, here are MY detailed "charts" so far: 1: Steinway D (Post Pristine) [Giga] 2: SRX-2 [SF2] and Bösendorfer 275 [Giga] ex-aequo! (though of quite different "personalities"...) 4: Steinway B [Giga] 5: Yahama (Nemesys 1Gb grand) [Giga] 6: Giga piano [SF2] N. B. I have not tested the Bösendorfer 290 (Grandioso) [Giga] yet... It should logically be somewhere around the 2nd position. Enjoy!!
